We are all different, we all have slightly different tastes. I’ve never met anyone that matches what I like exactly, but there are a few who I come close to. But this though. This album from Ecstatic Vision pretty much bangs all my gongs:

It’s heavy…really heavy, but not egregiously so.
It’s fast…really fast, but not out of control, there is nuance there too.
There’s a motorik beat…lots of the time, but it doesn’t dominate the album.
It’s got a sax…just enough sax to make it cool and give the whole set texture.
There’s lots going on under the surface to make sure you hear something new each time you listen.
It is in the same ball-park as Endless Boogie, but different enough that you’d want to have both.
It’s kind of experimental in places…you’re not sure what might happen next.
The vocalist sounds like he’s been out drinking all night with Lemmy, he doesn’t sound like totally like Lemmy but I bet he (and the rest of the band) has the same passion.
MC5…it sounds like the band like the MC5.
You could call it psych, but really that doesn’t matter because its just so bloody good.
I’m not sure there’s more to say here because it’s really not that complicated. Go to the Ecstatic Vision bandcamp page…listen…get blown away…and spend your herd earned on some proper pedal to the metal, balls out rock and fucking roll. That’s it!

Hey,
Thanks very much for reading my blog, I really appreciate this. I write it as a labour of love to help me enjoy music, and to give something back to the many talented people who put out these incredible sounds.
To make it as enjoyable as possible for others I do pay extra so there are, for instance, no ads on these pages; but it would be great if the blog could pay for itself.
So, if you’ve really enjoyed your visit here and have found some music that you think is amazing, why not buy me a coffee (I write in independent cafés a lot) by clicking the “make a donation” button on the sidebar or footer depending on your device.
Cheers…
